Donation Refund and Return Policy
At Social Activist Collectively (“the Organization”), we deeply value the generosity of our donors and supporters. Your contributions power our mission to enable children and adults with deafblindness to overcome challenges through needs-based services, information, guidance, support, and training. We are committed to transparency and trust in all donation interactions.
Definitions
The following terms are used in this policy:
- Organization: Refers to Social Activist Collectively, accessible at https://socialactivistcollectively.org.
- Donation: Monetary contribution made in support of the Organization’s programs and activities (including one-time and recurring).
- Service: Refers to this website and related donation/communication interfaces.
- You: The individual or entity making a donation or contribution.
Donation Refund Policy
Donations are used promptly for programmatic and administrative purposes. However, we recognize that errors can occur. Refunds may be considered under exceptional circumstances such as:
- Duplicate transaction
- Incorrect amount entered by mistake
- Unauthorized transaction
Refund window: Requests must be submitted within 7 days from the date of the donation.
Refund Request Requirements
To process a request, please provide:
- Donor name and email/phone used during donation
- Transaction reference/ID and donation date
- Reason for refund request
Approved refunds will be initiated to the original payment method within 14 days of approval. Processing timelines may depend on your bank or payment gateway.
Recurring Donations (Subscriptions)
You may cancel or modify a recurring donation at any time. For changes before the next charge date, please contact us at least 7 days in advance so updates can be applied in time. If a charge has already been processed, our standard refund criteria (above) will apply.
In-Kind Contributions
Occasionally, supporters may offer non-monetary contributions (e.g., accessibility aids, awareness materials). Such in-kind contributions are not eligible for return or refund once accepted/received. Please contact us beforehand to confirm suitability.
Use of Donations
Unless otherwise stated in a specific campaign, donations are utilized at the Organization’s discretion to best advance our mission for persons with deafblindness and multiple disabilities, including program delivery, training, advocacy, and essential administrative support.
